It's been a damn good weekend.

I had to work my first closing shift at anthro the night the lakers played the celtics in the finals. Working the closing shift means that you normally dont leave the store until midnight, at the very earliest, which sucks but whatever. I was mostly concerned about the insane amounts of very drunk, very sad Bostonians wandering the streets. The T ride home was...interesting. Thankfully I had a fellow anthro girl to ride with, and we giggled at the drunk couples (there were SO many) trying their hardest to make out while drunkenly maintaining their balance on the T. hm.
We decided to have a Beach Adventure yesterday. Perfect beach day. Drove down the coast a ways and ended up in Hull, and got to spend the day in the sun with Sylvie (!!) and all the housemates and it was lovely. Came back, went and saw MicMacs, which was really good. The same director who did Amelie did this movie, and I loved it. Then came home to Emily having a mini-margarita party/potluck and so we fed our munchies and hung out. Then we went up to this park at the top of this huge hill that gives you a beautiful view of Boston and the stars, and the boys played their harmonicas and we laid in the grass and I listened to them nerd out about the stars/universe in relation to the Earth, and loved every second of it. It was perfect contentment.
Today I made it my goal to finally clean up our screened in porch. Its been pretty neglected, and kinda gross, so I spent the day washing it down and making it nice to be in. I must say, I think I did a really good job. I'm going to paint it tomorrow after my interview I think. Then we had this huge thunderstorm and we all ran outside in the rain and jumped around in puddles and again, loved every second of it.
I finally got my bike, so now I dont have to walk everywhere. I think Im going to take a tour of Jamaica Plain tomorrow with one of the roomies and try to find that tattoo parlor.
ah, I love it here.
