I suppose this blog is either going to continue on its way to becoming my new, less self indulgent, version of my Live Journal or die out and remain a testament solely to my Italian Adventures.
I haven't quite decided which yet.
Anyway.
I decided to share the random thoughts that have been passing through my head, as I'm sure whoever reads this so completely wants to know.
1. I enjoy Jane Austen. However, after finally finishing Emma, and reading it over long periods of time, specifically right before bed, I find myself narrating my life in my head in Old English and wishing that words such as "contrived" or "amiable" made their way into my daily conversation more frequently.
2. What is it about Boys Clothing that is so....comforting, I suppose. Living with Tim (sort of) has put me in contact with his clothing alot more than I normally would be, especially since he is like me in that we both only like to put away our clothes when we can no longer see our floor. Which isnt hard, considering we have about 4 feet total of open floor space. But there's something about them: their bigness, or the way the laundry detergent smell just always seems better when its their clothes you're smelling it on, or how I can be unable to find my sweatpants, so I'll just wear his and they look absolutely ridiculous on me, but I love it anyway, or how a t-shirt, when worn, can be a comfort just short of a hug. This is all rather lame, but hey. Random Musings right?
3. I like to cook. I dont like to buy groceries, or have to worry about how much they cost and then realize that all the yummy things that I really want to make, ie FISH, is far too expensive and I must be satisfied with chicken and turkey burgers. Also, I do miss Mom Cooking. No matter how hard I try, or anyone tries for that matter, when a Mom makes something, it ALWAYS tastes better. Even when its not your own mother (this latter half of the statement I have found to be about 95% of the time correct, there are acceptions) it still seems to have this Quality that you yourself will never be able to match until you pop out a kid of your own. What IS that? Why do mothers seem to posses all these random powers as soon as they become mothers? Is it like a hidden secret that you only know once that pregnancy test gives you the + ?
Idk how this rant evolved into that. hm.
4. I now have two jobs. I am happy that I now have this opportunity to make lots more money, because i have NONE, but also a bit sad that I had to find another job, because the time off I would've otherwise enjoyed would have been spent on the beach like planned originally. Alas, I shall be serving Lobster and "Chowdah" to wicked amounts of New Englanders. Mmm.
5. I'm going to Boston tomorrow! First time I shall be there in a very long time.
6. Ohhh my God, why have I not danced since December. GAHH.
7. I will be coming home for the weekend of July 11-12. And probably not again until Aug.
8. I have now read about 5 books in the course of the 3 weeks I've been here. God damn World of Warcraft.
9. 45 Days until im 21
10. My sister is now the owner of the new Macbook Pro, and I am intensely jealous. No, really.
