Ah Sundays.
Today was spent in most random, but lovely ways. Cooking brunch with the 91Vers; chocolate and fruit/jam pancakes, eggs with feta and ricotta, fresh baked bread, and oven roasted potatoes. Wearing an ugly, but disgustingly comfortable Christmas Sweater complete with wreathes and cashmere snowflakes. Napping. Painting with watercolors in a book while listening to gregorian chant music, and my roomate Sarah practicing her music. Hot cocoa, made from the stove and not the microwave.
There is something so soothing about painting. About art in general, in the creation of something new out of nothing; in concentrating on nothing but the creation. Smooth long lines, and curves. Not really knowing what it is that you're going to end up with exactly.
Anyway.
Im a little excited to go home for Thanksgiving break. The fact that I havent set foot in my house since June is a little weird, so I think it'll be nice to go back after such a long time away. Im looking forward to the fireplace being lit, and sitting around listening to the first Christmas carols of the season with my family. And then Wednesday night attempting to sneak my sister into a bar with me. I mean...what?
