I had a great night.
Jazz music in an adorable little club with mismatched chairs and white christmas lights, with singing and great music and friends and happiness and wine, and then AMAZING cheesecake and good conversation and seeing the Arno and the Ponte Vechio at night with the lights on the water, and getting a good hug, and then getting to talk to tim for awhile= happiness at being in Firenze.


besides that, todays random Italian Fact of the Day=
Apparently in Italy, the only reason you have to smile at a stranger (like when you pass someone in the street and you just flash a random friendly smile or youre standing somewhere and whatever, you get the point) is if youre trying to have sex with them, or you're insane. Which explains why the other day when i just gave a little smile at the little old lady standing next to me at the light waiting to cross the street, she gave me a weird creepied out look and edged away to cross the other way.
