So now.

Pompeii. I wont go into too much detail, but it was a gorgeous warm day, so we got there and were canoodled into getting a Tour Guide. It ended up being very nice tho, because its so huge you really do kinda need someone (or something) to tell you what youre looking at or else itll all just look the same and get really boring really fast. Our tour guide was amusing and grabbed Tim ("You Boy!") to ask him if he knew how to draw a dollar sign. The $ is actually a Roman symbol for their money which started with an S and for some reason we decided to use that..and all their roman measurements. even though Italy themselves dont use it lol. But overall, it was really cool to be walking around an ancient town where people used to live and work and do normal things. until a volcano suffocated them all. Oh, also the story about pouring plaster into the spaces left in the soot from the dead people's bodies decaying and getting whatever shapes they died in? Not true apparently. The archeologists put them in their shapes for added drama. weird, right?

anyway.
being back in Florence was nice. It was good to come back to a city i was familiar with and knew where i was going and where i could eat dinner for 5 euro. Tim and i enjoyed his last two nights here. We went down to Piazza de Republica and listened to this really good little band playing in the square. They were made up of old men playing on a stand up bass, oboe, a piano (but he played the strings with xylophone players, and a guy on the congo drum. It was fun listening to them and just hanging out watching people ride the carousel.
Taking him to the airport and him leaving really was not very fun atall. It sucks now that Ive had this awesome amazing time in italy with him, and now hes gone. merh. 6 weeks.
Im very thankful for my roomates both being back, because it makes it alot less depressing to have a full room and funny spring break stories to share. I think tonight we're going to try to make it to the secret bakery.
